Chadeque Haiti

Citrus from the grapefruit family that has a thick peel and an elongated tip. Its taste is said to be similar to a mixture of grapefruit and orange. In Haiti chadeques (shaddock) are mostly used to make juice and jam. Some drink the pure juice (without water or sugar) when on a diet. The fruit’s thick white flesh is also used to make “chadeque candy” (recipes coming soon).
