Grilled Sardines with a zesty habanero "ti malice" sauce

These grilled sardines are quick to prepare so long as your fish is already scale free. If not, be gentle removing the scale so as not to tear the delicate fish.

Cook Time 45 minutes


  • Fresh sardines scales removed
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • Sauce Ti malice recipe on the blog
  • Fresh key lime juice optional


  1. Rinse your sardines
  2. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove any excess water
  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper
  4. Coat with oil
  5. Place on a hot grill
  6. Grill evenly on each side until slightly golden
  7. Drizzle generously with your prepared sauce ti malice and more key lime juice (if needed)

  8. Serve warm
