In Haiti, we use the word gratin to refer to the crust stuck to the bottom of cooking pans notably rice and corn gratin which many people like. It is served just like any part of the regular meal. En Haïti, le mot gratin désigne la croûte qui reste au fond du plat du cuisson. Le gratin de riz et de maïs est apprécié par beaucoup de personnes. Il se sert à table comme faisant parti du menu.
