Je devrais vous servir de la soup joumou. Je le ferais si je respectais la tradition. Mais aujourd\u2019hui, vous n\u2019aurez pas de soupe \u00e0 proprement parler. Je vous servirai plut\u00f4t les ingr\u00e9dients de la soupe\u2026 sans la soupe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Au menu&nbsp;: chou, carottes, poireaux, oseille et navets.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u2019ai mis du temps \u00e0 dissocier certains de ces l\u00e9gumes, notamment l\u2019oseille et les navets, de la soup joumou. Je n\u2019arrivais pas \u00e0 les imaginer sous une autre forme. Il a fallu que ma m\u00e8re nous serve une pur\u00e9e de navets sans nous le dire et qu\u2019elle nous introduise aux p\u00e2t\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019oseille pour que je les d\u00e9couvre sous un nouveau jour. Si je vous sers ces l\u00e9gumes autrement aujourd\u2019hui c\u2019est parce que vous m\u00e9ritez vous aussi de les pr\u00e9parer diff\u00e9remment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Voici une courte liste de mes m\u00e9thodes de pr\u00e9paration pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es&nbsp;:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Steak de chou :<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/tchakayiti.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/grilled-cabbage-steaks-haiti-chou-grille-tchakayiti.jpg?resize=800%2C1200\" alt=\"I grilled these cabbage steaks on a cast iron. Je suis heureuse de l\u2019avoir fait. J\u2019ai red\u00e9couvert ce l\u00e9gume que nous avons tendance \u00e0 trop cuire chez nous. Je n\u2019aurais jamais imagin\u00e9 qu\u2019il soit aussi facile de mettre ce l\u00e9gume en valeur. J\u2019ai simplement coup\u00e9 un chou entier en rondelles que j\u2019ai arros\u00e9es d\u2019un m\u00e9langer d\u2019huile d\u2019olive, d\u2019ail frais, sel et poivre avant de les faire griller sur un po\u00ealon en fonte.<\/li><li>Pesto \u00e0 l\u2019oseille :<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/tchakayiti.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/sorrel-pesto-oseille-haiti-tchakayiti.jpg?resize=800%2C1200\" alt=\"This grilled cashew sorrel pesto is vibrant with a hint of spiciness. | tchakayiti.com\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"> il y a quelques semaines j\u2019aurais \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9berlu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de manger de l\u2019oseille cru. Le pesto \u00e0 l&#8217;oseille de <a href=\"https:\/\/sabrinacurrie.com\/recipe\/sorrel-pesto-recipe-west-coast-food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sabrina Currie<\/a> m\u2019a cependant vite fait changer d\u2019avis. Bien que je ne l\u2019aie pas suivie \u00e0 la lettre, sa recette m\u2019a permis de d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019oseille sous un nouveau jour. Je vous encourage \u00e0 l\u2019essayer. Ce pesto \u00e0 l\u2019oseille s\u2019allie merveilleusement aux toasts, p\u00e2tes et viandes grill\u00e9es. Vous pouvez aussi l\u2019adapter \u00e0 votre go\u00fbt comme je l\u2019ai fait moi-m\u00eame. J\u2019ai opt\u00e9 pour des noix de cajou grill\u00e9es locales au lieu des noisettes. Je dois vous dire qu\u2019en Ha\u00efti, nos p\u00e2t\u00e9s sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement fourr\u00e9s de viande. Pourtant, ces petites bouch\u00e9es feuillet\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019oseille sont un d\u00e9lice.Pendant longtemps, je me contentais des versions surgel\u00e9es du supermarch\u00e9. Je sais cependant aujourd\u2019hui que ces p\u00e2t\u00e9s sont faciles \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer. Comme vous le noterez dans la recette qui suit, il suffit de cuire l\u2019oseille dans un m\u00e9lange de beurre, ail frais, sel et poivre et de fourrer ce m\u00e9lange dans une p\u00e2te feuillet\u00e9e que vous pouvez choisir de d\u00e9couper en petites bouch\u00e9es ou de servir enti\u00e8re.<\/li><li>Croquettes de poireau :<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/tchakayiti.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/leek-croquette-poireau-haiti-tchakayiti.jpg?resize=800%2C1200\" alt=\"These leek croquettes are cheesy and make a fun appetizer. | tchakayiti.com\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"> Les poireaux m\u2019ont agr\u00e9ablement surpris il y a moins d\u2019un an. Je les ai d\u00e9couvert sous forme de vol-au-vent lors d\u2019un cocktail. Leur go\u00fbt fort s\u2019apparentant \u00e0 celui des oignons avait disparu dans le m\u00e9lange cr\u00e9meux, ce qui fit ma joie. Ces croquettes sont le fruit des circonstances. Je les ai pr\u00e9par\u00e9es quelques mois plus tard alors que j\u2019\u00e9tais enferm\u00e9e chez moi sans coquille de vol-au-vent. N\u2019ayant que les poireaux \u00e0 ma disposition je d\u00e9cidai de les tourner en croquettes. En fait, ces bouch\u00e9es sont simplement une Mornay aux poireaux congel\u00e9e et tremp\u00e9e dans une panure.Je dois cependant vous avertir. Il vous faudra faire preuve de patience car la Mornay doit \u00eatre bien congel\u00e9e pour la formation des boules qui doivent elles aussi \u00eatre bien congel\u00e9es avant la friture. J\u2019ai aussi ajout\u00e9 du piment bouc au m\u00e9lange que j\u2019ai laiss\u00e9 mac\u00e9rer quelques jours avant de le d\u00e9guster. Gratin de navets : Si vous \u00eates un fid\u00e8le lecteur, vous en savez long sur le pi\u00e8ge que nous a tendus ma m\u00e8re en nous servant une pur\u00e9e de navets il y a quelques ann\u00e9es.&nbsp; C\u2019est cette exp\u00e9rience qui a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 mon gratin de navets dont vous retrouverez la recette ici. P\u00e2t\u00e9s feuillet\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019oseille : Et oui, je vous sers encore de l\u2019oseille.
