Since clairin only available on the local market, you can use regular white rum instead.<\/p>\n<p>The taste will be slightly different, as clairin tends to have a stronger aroma and a higher alcohol percentage than its white rum counterpart. It will taste good nonetheless. While it is a strong drink for my taste, I must admit that the sugarcane syrup and lime juice help balance the alcohol level.
