Du moins telle \u00e9tait la rumeur lorsque j\u2019\u00e9tais enfant. Nous nous amusions \u00e0 \u00e9craser ces petits fruits en les introduisant \u00e0 l\u2019embrasure d\u2019une porte que nous refermions pour pouvoir en d\u00e9guster la chair et les graines noires s\u00fbres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si vous avez v\u00e9cu en Ha\u00efti vous avez sans doute eu ces petits plaisirs d\u2019enfance et connaissez ce fruit connu chez nous sous le nom de \u00ab kalbasik \u00bb. Les kalbasik sont de petits fruits verts \u00e0 coque tr\u00e8s dure qui ressemblent \u00e0 des calebasses miniatures avec la diff\u00e9rence bien s\u00fbr que les kalbasik sont comestibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les kalbasik, lorsque j\u2019\u00e9tais petite, nous les achetions sur la route lors de nos \u00e9ternelles marches de Fort-Jacques \u00e0 Kenscoff. Je me rappelle encore l\u2019emplacement exact de la marchande, \u00e0 environ une trentaine de minutes \u00e0 pied, pour nos petites jambes courtes d\u2019enfants, du commissariat de Kenscoff. Nous saluions la marchande en cours de route et r\u00e9cup\u00e9rions notre sachet de kalbasik sur le chemin du retour. A notre arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 la maison, environ une heure plus tard, nous nous amassions pr\u00e8s de la porte de la salle \u00e0 manger pour les \u00e9craser. Nous \u00e9tions si impatients que parfois nous essayions d\u2019en \u00e9craser plusieurs d\u2019un coup \u00e0 l\u2019embrasure de la porte, ce qui n\u2019\u00e9tait pas \u00e9vident pour nos petites mains non encore expertes. Un v\u00e9ritable exercice de patience pour enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, je me demande encore si l\u2019embrasure d\u2019une porte est l\u2019unique fa\u00e7on de les ouvrir. J\u2019en doute fort. Mais il s\u2019agit certainement de la m\u00e9thode la plus facile d\u2019ouvrir ces petits fruits \u00e0 la coque si dure. Vous me demanderez certainement pourquoi je n\u2019essaie pas une autre m\u00e9thode. C\u2019est une si grande joie pour moi de r\u00e9p\u00e9ter ces petits gestes d\u2019enfant que je n\u2019oserais pas\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chers lecteurs si un jour vous trouvez des kalbasik, n\u2019h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 en ramener avec vous et \u00e0 les ouvrir \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re embrasure que vous rencontrerez.
