Le tamarin avait tout du fruit d\u00e9fendu simplement parce que pour l\u2019obtenir, nous, enfants de 5 ans au jardin ou m\u00eame plus \u00e2g\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, devions enfreindre certains r\u00e8glements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Au jardin d\u2019enfants, nous ne pouvions profiter de ce fruit que clandestinement.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous n\u2019avions acc\u00e8s au tamarinier qu\u2019\u00e0 partir d\u2019une fen\u00eatre de la salle de classe des grands, acc\u00e8s qui nous \u00e9tait interdit en dehors des heures de classe. L\u2019arbre se trouvait derri\u00e8re une cl\u00f4ture que nous ne pouvions franchir. Certaines de ses branches avait se rapprochaient tout de m\u00eame de la fen\u00eatre. Y acc\u00e9der supposait que nous devions nous percher \u00e0 cette fen\u00eatre et tendre nos bras d\u2019enfants de cinq ans, aussi courts \u00e9taient-ils, pour tenter de cueillir au moins une gousse de ses fruits. Le plus chanceux s\u2019emp\u00eachait de porter le plus de grains que possible \u00e0 la bouche avant d\u2019en partager avec le reste du groupe, au risque de se mettre \u00e0 tout cracher \u00e0 cause de l\u2019acidit\u00e9 du tamarin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus tard, en \u00e9cole primaire et m\u00eame jusqu\u2019en classe secondaire, nous ne perd\u00eemes pas cette attitude clandestine. Il nous fallait avoir recours \u00e0 autant, sinon plus, de grands moyens pour nous en procurer et aussi pour ne pas avoir \u00e0 en partager avec les autres. La seule diff\u00e9rence \u00e9tait que nous ne les \u00ab volions \u00bb pas de l\u2019arbre. Nous devions trouver le moyen d\u2019arriver au vendeur sans \u00eatre vues, ce que nous ne pouvions faire sans violer certains r\u00e8glements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les tamarins se vendaient \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9cole, acc\u00e8s qui nous \u00e9tait interdit une fois que nous avions franchi le portail principal \u00e0 notre arriv\u00e9e le matin. Nous n\u2019\u00e9tions pas autoris\u00e9es \u00e0 retourner sur nos pas, ce qui ne nous emp\u00eachait pas de tenter l\u2019aventure pour autant. Bien au contraire. Les grains de tamarins en \u00e9taient plus d\u00e9licieux. Ces interdictions ne faisaient que rendre ce fruit meilleur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nous aimions le tamarin pour sa pulpe charnue, juteuse, acidul\u00e9e&nbsp;; pour la victoire d\u2019avoir pu enfreindre une loi sans se faire attraper et aussi pour le challenge de ne pas \u00eatre \u00ab suprim\u00e9 \u00bb en le mangeant.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous prenions en effet plaisir \u00e0 en mettre un bon lot dans la bouche d\u2019un coup pour prouver \u00e0 nos camarades de classe que nous pouvions en supporter l\u2019acidit\u00e9 sans broncher. Nul besoin de vous dire qu\u2019il nous arrivait assez souvent d\u2019avoir \u00e0 recracher les grains aussi vite que nous les avions port\u00e9s \u00e0 notre bouche. Le fruit en devenait chaud et alors moins s\u00fbr, apparemment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tonn\u00e9e de l\u2019apprendre car je n\u2019imagine pas les tamarins de chez nous sans leur acidit\u00e9.
